About AICN
Atlanta Institute of Clinical Neuroscience is an educational institution providing education and training in Intraoperative Neurophysiologic Monitoring (IONM). As the world's only academic institution solely committed to Clinical Neurophysiology, AICN is creating new standards for IONM.
AICN is committed to working with IONM professionals, surgeons and anesthesiologists to provide patients in surgery the most effective protection against accidental damage to critical sensory and motor nerves. In consultation with clinical and academic professionals, AICN has created graduate-level educational curriculum that places its graduates in the forefront of the rapidly changing field of IONM.
AICN offers a two-year masters degree and a variety of continuing education activities.
AICN graduates are in the OR and in the classroom teaching others
in the field.
Cognizant that the field of IONM has dramatically evolved from EEG monitoring to very complex neurophysiological, real-time feedback to surgeons, AICN provides credential preparation (CNIM®) workshops for current workers in the field. In addition to the CNIM®, AICN offers knowledge and skill enhancement workshops in EEG, SEP, MEP, BAER, TCD, CN EMG, Spinal EMG and NCV procedures.
